The Huoh Laboratory investigates fundamental questions in transcriptional biology with implications for human health. In particular, we focus on how high-order nuclear protein assemblies regulate T cell immunity and how their dysfunction can lead to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. We currently invite applications for:
Research Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and curious Research Assistant with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field. Prior wet lab experience (e.g., molecular cloning, enzymatic assays, cell culture) is preferred. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and eager to learn, with the ability to work closely with senior members of the lab. As the role will include lab management responsibilities, strong organizational skills are essential. To apply, please e-mail Yu-San a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references. Recent college graduates without extensive research experience should also include an unofficial transcript.
PhD students at SUNY Downstate
The lab will be ready to welcome Molecular & Cellular Biology Program students for rotations starting in Winter 2025 / Spring 2026. Interested students can e-mail Yu-San to discuss possible projects.
Postdoctoral Fellow
We are seeking an ambitious and tenacious Postdoctoral Fellow who is eager to take on challenging problems, open to paradigm-shifting ideas, and able to communicate effectively in a collaborative environment. Candidates should have a strong background in immunology, transcriptional biology, or molecular and cell biology, with preferred expertise in fluorescence microscopy, genomics, or protein biochemistry. To apply, please e-mail Yu-San a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references. Only complete applications will be reviewed.
